# Infractions

Infractions are the other direction: discipline against **your own staff**, rather than against players.

Infraction types can escalate on their own. Set a threshold on a type and once a member reaches it, the next type up is issued automatically, so nobody has to keep a tally by hand. A type can also strip in-game admin permissions or end the member's current shift the moment it lands, which makes a demotion take effect immediately.

To issue infractions to everyone below quota in one pass, use activity waves on the [Staff Management](/dashboard/staff.md#staff-management) dashboard page rather than issuing them one at a time.
